Learner Charter

Head to Head Training delivers training/support and believes that consideration of the learner as an individual and the provision of the highest quality learning experience are fundamental to the delivery of successful training initiatives and a mutually successful outcome.

Head to Head Training recognises that learning is a partnership between the learner and Learning Centre and that a commitment is required from both parties to ensure that the learning experience is effective and of the highest quality. This charter identifies what the learner can expect from the Learning Centre together with what is expected from the learner, to make the partnership a success.

The Learner can expect the Learning Centre to:

• Provide convenient opening times and a style of learning that provides maximum flexibility.

• Give impartial and confidential information, advice and guidance to enable the best choice of learning programme, appropriate to individual needs, ambitions & intended progression.

• Provide a well resourced, safe, welcoming, supportive and comfortable environment for learning.

• Make clear all costs associated with the learning programme(s).

• Offer a broad range of learning materials relevant to work interests and personal development needs.

• Provide an induction to the Learning Centre and facilities.

• Give access to any necessary specialist support, appropriate to the learning programme.

• Comply with the Data Protection Act with regard to an individual’s privacy and confidentiality of personal information.

• Provide the necessary information and support to enable progress and achievement to be monitored and recorded throughout the learning programme(s), not just at the end.

• Give details of the Health and Safety procedures, Equal Opportunities Policy and the system in place to make suggestions, complaints and appeals against actions of the Learning Centre.

• Provide details of other resources available to the project.
