Basic IT

Computers are now a big part of our lives - and you do not need to be an IT graduate to use one. Our basic IT course explains how to use a computer and mouse and moves you on to develop the skills you need to design and produce a wide variety of documents using text and graphics.

The course also includes an introduction to the Internet, which teaches you to use electronic mail software to send and receive messages, attach documents or files to a message and organise and manage message folders.

You will learn how to accomplish basic web search tasks using a web browser application, to bookmark search results and to print web pages and search reports.

We aim to gradually build your skills in easy stages and provide lots of opportunities for you to practice what you have learnt. You can then move onto our intermediate courses to gain an IT qualification.
